Built in 1941 by Phillips Petroluem Company, the golf course was operated by Phillips employees for fifty years. Over that time the golf course matured and played host to many local tournaments and corporate outings. In 1991, the City of Borger took ownership of the property. Ever since the golf course has operated as a municipal golf facility serving the citizens of Borger and enthusiastic golfers from miles around.
